SPINDLE CITY AMERICANA
MUSIC FESTIVAL CD

$10 + $2.50 shipping and handling.
Click on the "Buy Tickets" button below to buy now.

On October 27, 2012 the Narrows Center presented the Spindle City Americana Music Festival and recorded the event for our first Live Music CD. The event was founded on the premise of celebrating a great songwriter on one special night by a cadre of great bands and musicians. Choosing Gram Parsons as the first celebrant of what we hope is an annual event was a no brainer. Gram has been one of the most influential figures in Americana Music.

The CD features Ryan Fitzsimmons, Danielle Miraglia, Girls Guns and Glory, Sarah Borges, Louie Leeman and Cheap Sneakers, Mark Cutler and the Men of Great Courage, Bob Kendall Band, and the ‘Mericans.

In a brief and mythical career, Gram Parsons wrote and performed songs that have lived on for over forty years. He was the original cosmic cowboy who fused country and rock into a unique sound that has had a profound influence on contemporary music. All of the bands chosen for this project were influenced on some level by Gram. We included some of their original songs to showcase his influence and their own creativity.

The Narrows Center for the Arts thanks all the bands, fans and Gram for the music, support and inspiration.

Purchase the CD for mail order.
